About the Journal
Interfaces Journal of Science and Innovation (IJSI) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research across the physical sciences, engineering, life sciences, computational sciences, and socio-technical systems. The journal promotes high-impact contributions that bridge traditionally separate domains and address complex challenges through integrative scientific approaches.
IJSI introduces a modular peer-review model in which each disciplinary component of a manuscript is evaluated by a specialist reviewer. This ensures expert assessment of all scientific dimensions—whether experimental, theoretical, computational, biological, or socio-economic—and promotes rigorous evaluation of cross-disciplinary coherence and innovation.
IJSI publishes original research articles, review papers, technical advances, and interdisciplinary studies organized into five thematic sections:
Section A — Earth & Environmental Interfaces
Section B — Energy, Materials & Matter
Section C — Living Systems & Technology
Section D — Computation, AI & Complex Systems
Section E — Human, Social & Economic Interfaces
Section F — Synchrotron & Photon-Matter Interfaces
Section G — Art, Creativity & Scientific Interfaces
All submissions undergo editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review. The journal follows a continuous publication model, ensuring rapid dissemination of new knowledge.
IJSI is fully open access. All articles are published under a Creative Commons license, allowing broad dissemination and reuse while preserving authors’ rights. The journal charges no submission fees; publication charges, if any, will be transparently disclosed.
The journal is committed to long-term digital preservation through participation in archiving systems such as LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, ensuring permanent accessibility of published content.
IJSI welcomes contributions from researchers, engineers, innovators, practitioners, and policymakers seeking to advance scientific progress at the interfaces of disciplines and to foster solutions with real-world impact.
